Julia and Jordan have been skating together for three years. They teamed up in January of 2005 and the partnership has taken off since! They compete on the United States National Adult Circuit in Championship and Gold Level dance, the highest levels offered to adult dancers.
Ice dancing is bascially ballroom dancing on ice. They skate Tangos, Waltzes, Foxtrots, Quickstep and Paso Doble. 50-percent of competition includes performing an Original Dance. It is an originally choreographed dance to a specific rythm that is defined annually by the International Skating Union. This year, it's Folk/Country. They will be competing a Sakura Folk dance from Japan at the US National Championships April, 2008 in Lake Placid, NY. They will also be performing this year in several local competitions within the Portland metropolitan area and across the West Coast.
